Since young i was told by my parents and sunday school teachers that our dear God, heavenly Father is a fair and just God, who hates evil and loves those who do good deeds. I have been believing that for 25 years of my life, no kidding.
But now, this very belief that anchors my faith towards God is challenged, and not in a small way. I have been seeing injustice, good people being mistreated, and frankly (after having a long thought), it seems like very few good people ever got rewarded by God.
She is a good girl, a good daughter, a good niece, a good grand-daughter, a good future-wife, a good, responsible employee and student. She is not perfect, but she is definitely thousand times better than most people out there who are enjoying their lives with no worries, and sinning all the way and getting away with God punishments.
And yet we are living in sorrow, desperation, despair, and it has really been a long time since i really laugh heartily without worries, you know that, God? Or have you forgotten us? Are you going to leave us to die just like this?
So God, I'm afraid i have to direct this question to you, and if i can't find the answer, i'm really afraid the basis of my religion will crumble:
GOD, ARE YOU IGNORANT OF YOUR CHILDREN'S NEEDS? ARE YOU THE TRUE, FAIR, AND JUST GOD THAT HATES EVIL AND REWARDS GOOD DEEDS, AND NEVER RENEGADES ON HIS PROMISES TO HIS CHILDREN?
Has justice finally been abandoned by you, o Heavenly Father?
I hope God has heard my prayers and would forgive me for my rude words, but God, most importantly, I have reached a crossroad in my religious life, and i need an answer NOW.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
